The Wynoochee River runs right alongside this wastewater treatment plant, and ongoing migration of the river encroaches on the plant, threatening to create environmental consequences from sewage contamination. This project included measures to protect the plant and stop erosion with rip rap and log jacks. Work within the treatment plant also included removing biosolids, lining the lagoon, backfilling, and installing UV disinfection systems.
