Chehalis River Bridge

Roads and Bridges

This project restored the structural integrity of the Chehalis River Bridge and extended its service life. Rognlin’s scope of work included removing the existing timber bridge approach spans and replacing them with a prestressed concrete girder bridge. The scope of work also included shaft construction, removing and replacing the deck overhangs on the steel truss spans, modifying the existing deck overhangs on the concrete box spans, painting the steel truss, adding new traffic railing to the entire bridge, resurfacing the steel truss and concrete box spans with a modified concrete overlay, raising the portal of the steel superstructure, and rebuilding both roadway approaches to the bridge.
